Welcome of the CEO
It is with great pleasure and responsibility that I have taken upon myself the task of being your general Manager.
A great privilege has faced itself on my part.
A privilege to be a member of a team that honors, respects and cherishes its elders.
A team that cares for a warm and inviting home. A home that offers spacious and fully equipped apartments, meals that are adjusted for each individual’s needs. A home that offers a rich cultural life and support for its tenants and their families.
Each job honors the person who does that job honestly.
Work which ensures the welfare of others, honors the one who does that job and also honors the place where he works.
In “ Pirkee Awoth” is written:(chapter one , Mishna one)
Moshe received the Tora at Sinai and handed it down to Joshua and Joshua to the Elders end the Elders to the Prophets and the Prophets
handed it down to the men of the “Great Assembly”.
The latter said three things:
“Be moderate in the administration of justice”
“Develop many students”
“Safeguard the Tora”
With affection I use the word “elder” There are people who like to add to the word “golden age” or “maturity”. This might be a nice decoration, in my opinion this is not necessary.
I love simplicity. Old age, elderlies, sages the old.
Let us return dignity and age to the expression “the old”
The Elders who are responsible for correcting and strengthen three most basic foundations of a nation’s existence.
Morality, Education and the Observance of good deeds.
In every faith whatsoever, there is an ordered system: What to do (perform) and what not to do .
Let us respect old age, let us observe the elderlies and learn from them.
May we maintain a home of respect, awe and love for our old, by cultivating a staff who can meet the challenges of age and the beauty of it by choosing a life of tolerance together with culture and leadership while giving personal examples.
“And oh, when I’m old and wise
Bitter words mean little to me
Autumn Winds will blow right through me
And someday in the mist of time
When they asked me if I knew you
I’d smile and say you were a friend of mine
And the sadness would be lifted from my eyes
Oh when I’m old and wise…”
